Winnie Kay Grove, age 91, of Portland, Tennessee passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2023.
Mrs. Grove was born on June 3, 1931 in Portland to the late Marion George Bolding and the late Eva Margaret Bolding.
A lifelong resident of Sumner County, she married her loving late husband Thomas Edward Grove on November 30, 1951.
Mrs. Grove was an elementary reading teacher for Sumner County Schools and a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Portland. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed gardening and attending antique auctions and events.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Grove was preceded in death by siblings, Claude Bolding, Elma Clouse, Odie Bolding, Harry Bolding, Paul Bolding, Wallace Bolding, and Mable Knight.
Winnie is survived by her sons, Curtis (Teresa) Grove of Portland, Kevin (Judi) Grove of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Trevor Grove, Thomas Grove, Gabriela (Robert) Roediger, and Christiana Castillo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Greg McCoy officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Grove will be on Tuesday, February 14 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, February 15 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
