Linda Joyce Alkasem, age 65, passed away April 21, 2024 in Andalusia, AL along with her mother and sister.
She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. Linda loved travel and worked as a flight attendant and saw the world before settling back down in Hendersonville with her family.
Many in this community knew her to be Chef Rakka’s wife. Linda loved feeding community through their local restaurant, Café Rakka. She and her husband were so proud to bring authentic Syrian food to her hometown.
She is survived by her husband, Riyad Alkasem; her three sons, Jorel Katcher (Trisha), Kasem Alkasem and Mohammad “Sammy” Alkasem; and her grandchildren, Kalel, River and Avienda Katcher.
Funeral services will be held at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church on Friday, April 26 at 10:00 am. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, April 25 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, April 26 at Hendersonville First United Methodist Church. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
