Melisa Keele, age 53, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was born on October 14, 1972, in Nashville, Tennessee, to the late Patricia Hall and Jimmie Hall.
Melisa was truly one of a kind. She had a caring heart and would do anything for anyone, often giving the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Above all else, she lived her life for her three daughters, often saying that everything she had ever done was for them. Her family was the center of her world, and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with those she loved. She especially loved to spoil her grandbabies and cherished every moment she spent with them.
She built an exceptional career in property management, spending 15 years with Denton Real Estate before becoming a partner in the business, a role she proudly held for the past 11 years. Denton Property was more than a job—it was her passion. She deeply valued her partnership and friendship with John Denton, and together they made an outstanding team. Anyone who knew Melisa knew not to call her during owner close-out time, which often seemed to be every day of the month.
Melisa found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved shopping, especially trips to Walmart, family vacations to Panama City Beach, and casino trips with her best friend, Shannon Jameson, where the slot machines were always her favorite. She adored pugs and shared her life with at least five throughout the years. She loved curling up with her pugs at night, sleeping with her head tucked beneath the blankets. She was known for her love of Red Bull and Coca-Cola and would often joke that drinking water made her “sick.” Christmas was by far her favorite holiday, and decorating her Christmas tree was a tradition she took seriously, often spending more than ten days making sure every ornament was perfectly placed. She also loved her cigarettes and was never shy about it.
Melisa is survived by her daughters, Samantha Thompson, Jessica Wallace, and Katie Cullen; her sister, Tonya Ferguson; her brother, Mike Hall; and her beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn Thompson, Stella Wallace, Carson Wallace, Oliver Wallace, Waylon Kessler, Harvey Wallace, and Walker Kessler. She also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and everyone whose lives were touched by her kindness and generous spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Hall and Jimmie Hall.
Melisa will be remembered for her fierce love, generous heart, unforgettable personality, and the countless ways she made those around her feel loved. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026.
