The Station Camp High School community is mourning the loss of incoming sophomore Kinsley Carter, who died after being involved in a serious car crash Sunday morning.
Lady Bison Softball shared the heartbreaking news, remembering Carter as a special young woman who was deeply loved by her teammates and coaches.
“Kinsley was such a very special young lady who was loved by her teammates and coaches and she will truly be missed,” the team wrote. “We love you Kinsley and you will forever be in our hearts and you will forever be a Bison.”
Station Camp High School also shared a message of support for Carter’s family and the school community.
“Our hearts are broken as we grieve alongside her family, friends, classmates, and all who knew her and loved her,” the school said. “During this incredibly difficult time, we ask our community to join us in lifting her family in prayer. May they find comfort in the love that surrounds them and strength in the days ahead.”
The school added that the Station Camp community will stand together to honor Carter’s memory with compassion, kindness, and love.
As the community continues to grieve, Carter’s family has received an outpouring of support. A GoFundMe organized by her aunt has been created to help with funeral expenses and provide financial support for the family. Those wishing to contribute can do so here.
