December 11, 2023 – On Sunday, Southeast Community Fire Department responded to Shady Cove Campground for a camper on fire.
Prior to the department’s arrival, two other campers caught fire due to wind and close proximity to the original fire. One resident sustained burns and was transported to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Sumner County Sheriff’s Office.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the burn victim, those who lost their property and all affected by the tornado this weekend. It has been a difficult weekend for our community and county,” says Southeast Community Fire Department.
