Sherry Layne Rawls Harrison, age 88 of Hendersonville, TN and formerly of Martin, TN passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved and was loved by all her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Harrison; her parents, Felts & Ruby Rawls; and her brother, Neil Rawls.
She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Harrison Wade (Craig) and Pam Harrison; granddaughter, Ashley Wade Fawbush (Alex); great-granddaughter, Gwendolyn; sister, Edna Harris; brother, Joe Rawls; sisters-in-law, Jane Rawls and Doris Harrison as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sherry worked as an operator with Tennessee Business Enterprises for the Blind for 30 years, she enjoyed and took pride in what she did. She had a beautiful voice and sang most of her life in church for weddings, funerals, and special events. Sherry was always an active member of the church she belonged to. She enjoyed working with children, baking, and singing.
A Celebration of Sherry’s Life will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M.
