Larry Buntin, age 76 of Portland, Tennessee passed away at Sumner Regional Medical Center on May 9th, 2022.
Mr. Buntin was born in Portland, TN on April 24th, 1946 to the late James Edward Buntin & late Addie Pearl Suttle Buntin.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Buntin was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edward Buntin.
Mr. Buntin is survived by his wife, Judy Buntin of Portland; children, Monique Buntin of Portland, Mickey Buntin of Portland, & Vickey (Andy) Harrell of Hendersonville; granddaughter, Samantha Harrell of Hendersonville; half brother, Danny Biggers of Portland; half-sisters, Audrey Carpenter of Portland & Donna (Mackie) Hunter of Portland.
Mr. Buntin was a veteran in the United States Army, where he acquired many different badges, medals, & commendations. Among those are the Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars; National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14); Marksman (Rifle M-16); Army Commendation Medal; & Combat Infantryman Badge.
Funeral service for Mr. Buntin will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Trent Stephens & Bro. Allen Johnson officiating.
Visitation for Mr. Buntin will be on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm & on Thursday, May 12th, 2022 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home. https://www.wilkinsonwiseman.com
Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
