Jeanette Lee Nelson, age 73, of Westmoreland, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Jeanette was born on April 5, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa to the late June Catherine Roberts and Harold A. Hill, Sr.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Ernest Wayne Nelson; grandson, Shawn Cook; and sister, June Katherine Schumaker.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Roger (Heather) Smith of White House, Tennessee, Shawna (David) Hurst of Castalian Springs, Tennessee, Honey (Chris) Huff of Westmoreland, Tennessee, and Carl Smith of Scottsville, Kentucky; siblings, Shirley (Dan) Sager, Rick (Linda) Hill, Harold (Pat) Hill, Linda Gallo, Joann Harris, Leona Schmidt, and Dan Hill; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved fur baby Cinnamon.
Jeanette loved to read and quilt, but that was when she wasn’t watching her favorite actor, John Wayne, or traveling with her brothers and sisters. She loved her family and grandchildren more than anything in this world. Jeanette will be loved and missed more than words can say.
A memorial service honoring Jeanette will be held on October 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside with visitation held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
