One of Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center’s most popular events, ArtOberfest offers arts and crafts for the kids, authentic German food and more for adults, and great live music for everyone.
Highlights include the Kids Arts and Crafts Pavilion, where children can engage in such fun activities as pumpkin painting, face painting and more. A storyteller and caricature artist add to the overall festivities.

3Murder, Medicine & Mourning at Wynnewood State Historic Site
Saturday, October 14, 6pm – 9pm
Wynnewood State Historic Site
210 Old Hwy 25, Castalian Springs
Visitors will see Wynnewood set for mourning, hear about Victorian mourning customs, and learn about the many untimely deaths of the Wynne family. Follow your guide down to Bledsoe’s Lick where you will explore by lanternlight and hear about the most infamous murders on the Lick! If you can stomach it – go visit the doctor and learn about the weird and gruesome practices of Victorian-era medicine.

4Lewis and Clark Circus

The circus is coming to town this weekend!
The Lewis and Clark Circus will make a stop in Hendersonville on Thursday, Oct 12 and Friday, Oct 13 at Veterans Park.
There will be two shows each day. The first show will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the second will be at 7:30 p.m.

Rudder Fest ’23 is back! All you can sample seasonal beers, an exclusive Nelson’s Green Brier tasting from The Whiskey Wagon, an interactive Tito’s Handmade Vodka experience, plus all-you-can-eat German-themed small bites! Live music all night and a Stein Holding competition from Sam Adams Brewery with big prizes for the winners!
