Carol Duncan Everroad, age 87, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away in her home on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023.
She was born in Clay City, Indiana to parents Amos and Thelma Duncan, on March 11th, 1936.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Carlton Duncan, her second husband, Joe Everroad, her parents, Amos and Thelma Duncan, and her sister Mary Edith Barr.
She is survived by her sons, Glen (Marsha) Duncan and Dr. Brian (Dr. Andra) Duncan; grandchildren, Brady Austin Duncan, Hayden Duncan, Benjamin Duncan, Brandon Duncan, and Jessica Duncan. She is also survived by her siblings, Ron Duncan, Ruth (Ron) King, Dave (Judy) Duncan, Debbie (Gary) Ritzline, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Carol was a fun and loving woman. She moved to Columbus, Indiana at a young age. It is here where she would meet her first husband Carlton Duncan. The couple would go on to marry each other in 1951, where they would continue to grow their family.
Carol became a mother in 1955, after the birth of their first son, Glen, and then again in 1958, after the birth of her second son, Brian. Carol loved and worshipped the ground that her sons walked on. Rightfully so since Glen went on to become a Grammy award winning musician, songwriter, and producer; then Brian went on to become an acclaimed physician.
When she wasn’t busy being a mother, Carol worked as an accountant in Columbus, IN and in Hendersonville, TN up until her retirement.
In her free time, Carol loved to read, especially Agatha Christie. She was a talented woman who liked to play the piano and loved to listen to music. She would crochet and liked working on puzzles in her free time as well. Although she is gone, she is not forgotten.
