Calvin G. Stamps, age 80, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Hendersonville, TN.
He was born on December 27, 1940 to the late Samuel W. Stamps and Willie A. Stamps. He is also preceded in death by his wife Karen Paulette Stamps.
Calvin is survived by his sister Mary Ann Timmons (Bobby) and twin brother Murrell A. Stamps; nephews Joe Timmons (Tina) and Robert Timmons (Jana); great-nieces Heather Alexander (Eric), Elizabeth Seaborne (Alex), Bryana Favre (Eric), and Raychel Timmons; great-nephews James Timmons, Bret Grizzard (Lindsey) and Kody Timmons. Six great-great nieces and one great-great-nephew, and his sister-in-law Kimberly Clark.
Calvin graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1958 and attended MTSU. He retired from American General in Nashville, then went to work at Friedman’s Army Surplus and finally at Guns & Leather in Hendersonville. Calvin enjoyed trips to Gatlinburg and Sunday afternoon rides with his brother Murrell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday evening and one hour prior to the start of the service on Thursday.
