Barbara Ann Carter Lynn Blankenship, of Westmoreland, TN, was called home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2022, at age 69. Her family and friends surrounded her with prayer as she entered into the kingdom of Heaven.
She was born on December 1, 1952 to the late Barney W. Carter and Cleo B. Coley Carter. She was a retired homemaker and a proud grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Ernie Lynn and David Blankenship; grandparents, Thomas Young Coley and Josie Anglea Coley, George Washington Carter and Emma Gray Sullivan Carter; brother Fred Carter; and sister Dixie Carter Woodard.
She is survived by her daughters, Dana Lynn and Heather (Joe) Hargis; grandsons, Chase, Jacob, Ethan and Christian Hargis; brothers Thomas Carter, Gary (Merry) Carter, Douglas (Debbie) Carter; friend and caregiver Cindy Eaton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and grand-dogs.
Funeral services for Ms. Blankenship will be conducted on Saturday, November 19th at 1 PM from New Hope Church with Ricky Graves and Douglas Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Billy Crowder, Stacy Woodard, Kevin Woodard, Shawn Carter, Derrick Carter and David Hudson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chase Hargis, Jacob Hargis, Ethan Hargis, Christian Hargis, Tracy McCormick and Ken Minor.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 18th from 1 PM-8 PM at Woodard Funeral Home and on Saturday, November 19th from 9 AM-service time at 1 PM at New Hope Church. https://www.rwoodardfuneralhome.com
