A teenage girl has died and three others were injured due to an ATV crash in Portland, according to WKRN.
Portland Police Department responded to the crash on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 on North Harris Road and Evergreen Street just before 8 p.m.
According to police, an ATV crashed into a van due to a malfunction with the ATV’s brakes. Three people were on the ATV at the time.
The three teens, two girls and one boy, were rushed to Nashville hospitals. One of the girls and the boy were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Passenger Cecilia Carter, 18, died from her injuries at the hospital on Friday, June 17, 2023.
Police say one person who was inside the van during the crash was treated for a minor injury.
