1Frostbite 5K/10K and Family Fun Run

Ring in the New Year with a run! Join us Saturday Dec. 30, 2023, for our annual Frostbite 5K/10K and Family Fun Run. Both events begin and end at the Sumner County YMCA and each course takes you through the lakeside rolling hills surrounding the Y.

Members Only: There will be on-site child care for ages 6 weeks to 12 years from 8-12 p.m.(*2 hour limit per child), where your child can stay while you race.

Pre-Packet Pickup:
Friday, Dec. 29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sumner County Family YMCA.
Race Day Packet Pick-up/Walk-up Registration: 7:30-8:30 a.m. at Sumner County Family YMCA.
Child Care Services (Members Only): 8-12 p.m. (*2 hour limit per child)
Kids Fun Run Starts: 8:30 a.m.
10K Starts: 9 a.m.
5K Starts: 9:15 a.m.
Frostbite Village: 8-10 a.m.
Frostbite Freeze: 10:15 a.m.
Awards: Within 30 minutes after the last eligible winner crosses the finish line.

Doors open at 3pm, dinner service begins at 5pm and there will be a Champagne Toast at Midnight!

3ICE – Polar Express at Opryland

Gaylord Opryland’s 40th annual A Country Christmas began on November 10, 2023 and runs through January 1, 2024. The resort’s signature attraction features a brand-new ICE! theme, The Polar Express™, based upon the beloved Warner Bros holiday film. Using more than two million pounds–or 1,000 tons–of ice, “The Polar Express” is brought to life in ice sculpture form by a team of 40 world-class ice artisans from Harbin, China.

4Vault Tour at Lane Motor Museum

Although the museum has over 580 cars and motorcycles in our collection, the museum only has space to display about 150 cars at any given time. This tour is an opportunity to view many of the other cars in the collection that are stored downstairs.

VAULT TOURS ARE:

$10.00 per participant* (Note- The tour fee is in addition to museum admission. Admission fees listed below.)
45-minute tour (approximately)
Limit of 30 per tour
Tickets available at the admissions counter
First come, first served- no reservations held

Groups for vault tours will gather on the museum floor near the theater.
Tours will begin promptly at their scheduled time so please arrive about 5 minutes before the start time.

5Country Music Hall of Fame Offers ‘Pay What You Want’

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will offer pay-what-you-want admission for Nashville area residents beginning Friday, Dec. 1, through Jan. 31, 2024. Providing an opportunity for locals to explore the museum and the history of country music, the pay-what-you-want admission will apply to those living in Davidson and its bordering counties – Cheatham, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson.
