1Sumner County Disaster Relief Cleanup Day

There will be a Sumner County Disaster Relief Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, December 16 from 8am – 1pm.

Beautiful Hendersonville, United Way of Sumner County and the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce are coordinating a community clean-up day for Saturday, December 16th, in response to the tornado that struck Hendersonville on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Volunteers should arrive at City Hall just before their selected volunteer time slot to be given a designated clean-up location. Trash bags and supplies will be provided. Volunteers should wear protective and comfortable work shoes and bring work gloves if they have them.

2The Ornaments Present ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas’

The Ornaments originated in 2005 as three friends decided they would play the music of their favorite holiday TV special, Charles Schultz’ A Charlie Brown Christmas, with its brilliant soundtrack by Vince Guaraldi, at their favorite local watering hole, and since then their shows have grown steadily into a Nashville holiday

3ICE – Polar Express at Opryland

Gaylord Opryland’s 40th annual A Country Christmas began on November 10, 2023 and runs through January 1, 2024. The resort’s signature attraction features a brand-new ICE! theme, The Polar Express™, based upon the beloved Warner Bros holiday film. Using more than two million pounds–or 1,000 tons–of ice, “The Polar Express” is brought to life in ice sculpture form by a team of 40 world-class ice artisans from Harbin, China.

4Christmas by Candlelight at Wynnewood

Enjoy a Victorian Christmas at Wynnewood…by Candlelight! Experience the beauty of this stately old log home and inn and learn how Christmas was celebrated here almost 200 years ago. See Wynnewood as never before with the halls decked in greenery and candlelight aglow. End the tour with historical Christmas carols performed by the Traveling Caudells and try a 19th-century Christmas treat.

Tickets to this event are extremely LIMITED.

Wynnewood is not heated, please dress appropriately for the weather.

This tour will take place in VERY dim lighting, flashlights will only be permitted while going up and down stairs. If you prefer to tour Wynnewood in the daytime, please consider purchasing a ticket to A Victorian Christmas at Wynnewood, taking place on December 2nd and 16th.

Please note this ticket is for Wynnewood only. Tickets to Christmas by Candlelight at Cragfont must be purchased separately.
