UPDATE: After several hours of negotiation, police made entry into the residence and discovered the previously barricaded subject deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. There will still be a high level of police presence at the scene.
However, there is no threat to the community.
The Hendersonville Police Department is currently working with the Murfreesboro Police Department to determine if the barricade situation is related to a homicide investigation in Murfreesboro initiated this same day.
No further information is available for release at this time.
On March 14, 2023, at 10:45am the Hendersonville Police Department began working an active barricaded situation with an armed subject in the 100 Block of Candlewood Dr.
The scene is still active and individuals are asked to stay out of the area.
