Thomas Battle, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, left this world on June 27th, 2023. His departure leaves behind a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Thomas lived a life filled with love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family.

Thomas is survived by his wife Lura Nilan Battle, daughter Elizabeth Battle Pryce, son Timothy Battle, daughter in love Tiffany Battle, and his grandchildren Christian, Annelise, & Liam.

Born on December 26th, 1954, Thomas was the loving husband of Lura for 39. Their bond was a testament to the power of enduring love and unwavering support. Thomas cherished his role as a husband, and his love for Lura was evident in every moment they shared together.

As a father, Thomas was a guiding light to his children, Elizabeth & Timothy. He embraced the joys and challenges of parenthood, instilling in them the values of compassion, perseverance, and resilience. Thomas’s love for his children was boundless, and he took great pride in witnessing their achievements and supporting them through every milestone.

Thomas’s role as a teacher and coach extended beyond the classroom and field. He touched the lives of countless individuals, mentoring and inspiring them to reach their full potential.

One of Thomas’s greatest joys in life was being a grandfather. His love for his grandchildren knew no bounds. He embraced every opportunity to spend time with them, creating cherished memories and passing on valuable life lessons. Coach’s legacy will live on through the generations he nurtured and inspired.

Thomas Battle will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, an exceptional teacher and coach. His love for his wife, children, and grandchildren was a beacon of light that will continue to guide and inspire them. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A memorial service to celebrate Thomas’s life will be held on July 1st at Crestview Funeral Home in Gallatin. Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by Thomas are invited to pay their respects and share their memories. Visitation will be 11:00 am – 1:00 pm and his memorial service will be at 1:00 pm.

Thomas Battle’s spirit will forever reside within our hearts. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy of love and devotion continue to inspire us all.
