Marlynn Tenpenny, age 88 of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great, and great-great grandmother, sister, and friend.
Ms. Tenpenny was born October 8, 1934, to the late Floyd and Sophia Carroll in Coffee County, TN.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her late husband, Glenn R. Tenpenny, four brothers and four sisters.
Left to continue life’s journey are her 7 children; Patricia Thompson, Sue Robinson, Judy (Jack) Hardin, Leroy Tenpenny, David (Ann)Tenpenny, Roger (Karen)Tenpenny, and Alethia Perry; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister Anne Frisby, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Interment will be Monday, May 1st at 1:00 p.m. at Sumner Memorial Gardens. Per her life-long request rather than flowers, remember her by making a donation to either: Nashville Rescue Mission, P.O. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, Gallatin, TN 37066, with Bro. Danny Bates officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
