James Thomas Huff of Castalian Springs, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, he was 82 years old.

Mr. Huff was born December 13, 1939 in Red Boiling Springs to the late Robert J. Huff and Bertha Louise Sircy Huff.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Diana Hughes Huff; son, James Thomas “Tommy” Huff, Jr; brother, Jackie Wayne Huff; and sister, Linda Faye Huff McKinney.

He is survived by daughters, Tammy Huff Davis (Jeff) of Gallatin, Missa Huff Jackson (Mac) of Castalian Springs and Jamie Rigsbee of Gallatin; grandchildren, Stacey Duncan, Kalan Banks (Chris), Anna Pease (Jacob), Adam Jackson, Angela Jackson Jones (Jeremy Roosenberg), Jerimiah Jackson (Tabitha) and Thomas Jackson (Mayana); great-grandchildren, Teagan Duncan, Adalyne Embry, Christian Banks, Symphony Jones, Caleb, Knoxx and Jojo Jackson and Aiden Jackson; brother, Michael Durham (Starr) of Old Hickory and sister-in-laws, Glenda Huff of Castalian Springs, Jackie Detman (Walter) of McKeesport, PA, Anita Troutt (Kitten) of Madison and Rita Sleamon of Castalian Springs; and much loved bonus family, daughter, Tana Dorris of Gallatin, grandchildren Brandon Dorris Jackson and Serena Abbott; great-grandchildren Alexis and Matthew Jackson, Sara and Anthony Simons and Savanna Abbott and many nieces and nephews.

As a boy, his family were farmers in the middle Tennessee area and he later became a mechanic for Will Henry Baker in Gallatin leading to his becoming a business owner with a mechanics shop (his building still stands on Bledsoe Street in Gallatin to this day) along with racing (and later owning) stock cars in and around the Nashville area at that time.

Tommy eventually became a proud and well respected over the road truck driver which saw him through retirement when he began full time farming on the family farm in Castalian Springs. These last several years he attended Corum Hill Baptist Church in Castalian Springs adding even more friends to the hundreds he claimed as his own.

Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, September 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be Friday, September 23rd from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 24th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. https://sellarsfuneralservices.com
