Mrs. Phyllis Lynn Lame, age 70 of Portland, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 in Blue Ridge, Georgia. She was born on October 22nd, 1954 in Williamsburg, Virginia to the late Carl Edwards and Lilly Mae Groves.
Mrs. Phyllis Lame was a member of Mt. Moriah General Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bobby Lame; children, Shane Lame (Cassie) and Beth Dlugokinski (Mark); grandchildren, Bobbi Madison Postell (Sam), Mallory Kay Lame, Kayley Elizabeth Lame, Phoebe Mei Dlugokinski, Carson Lee, Jack Dlugokinski, and Jade Dlugokinski; brother, Wayne Groves (Kay); sister, Meredith White (Ralph); and sister-in-law, Sandy Lame.
The funeral service for Mrs. Lame will be held at Sellars Family Heritage at Portland on Wednesday, July 2nd, at 1:00 PM with Bro. Robert Gillman officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Old Brush Cemetery with Ralph White, Drake White, Sam Postell, Mark Dlugokinski, Brent Culbreath and Larry Hesson serving as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, July 1st from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, July 2nd from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
