James “Sammy” Barnes, age 83, passed away on March 25, 2024, in Gallatin, TN.
He was a member of the church of Christ, and attended Bush’s Chapel church of Christ. Sammy retired from Ford Motor Glass Plant after 41 years of service.
“Sammy” is survived by his wife, Judy Barnes; children, Shawn (Rachel) Barnes, Jesse “Billy” Johnson, Tommy (Michelle) Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Tyler Johnson; fourteen grandchildren; brother, David (Patricia) Barnes; sisters, Dorothy (John) Sires, Katherine (Roy) Graves, Clara Lee (Larry) Miller. He is loved by his entire family.
“Sammy” is preceded in death by his parents, Silas Barnes and Ruth (Dycus) Barnes; son, Eric Johnson; sister, Adeline Barnes, brother, Charles Robert Barnes.
Memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bush’s Chapel Church Of Christ with Bro. Jonathan England officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service.
