Homer Allen “Smitty” Smith, age 78 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, November 13th at 1:00 p.m. at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Stacy Troutt officiating.

Mr. Smith was born April 3, 1943 in Gallatin to the late Henry Hatten Smith and Mavis Molene Linville.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, Barry Eugene Smith.

He is survived by wife of 33 years, Carolyn Claiborne Smith of Gallatin; daughters, Rebecca Clark (Brent) of Lafayette and Melissa Lee (Dusty) of Gallatin; sons, Michael Rios (Susie) of Reno, NV, Mitchell Rios of Bristol, VA, Mark Rios (Stephanie) of Hesperia, CA, Matthew Rios (Julie) of Cottonwood, AZ, and Machi Rios of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Steve Smith (Carolyn) of Gallatin; 18 grandchildren, Anthony Rios (Sarah), Megan Rios, Jeremy Rios, Nic Rios, Bradley Rios, Lilliana Rios, Jessica Giovanazzi (Ryan), Machi Rios, Jr., Katilyn Lee, Mark Rios, Michael Lee, Brandon Rios, Makayla Lee, Andrew Rios, Cade Rios, Kacie Clark, J. C. Clark, and Terran Clark; and 7 great-grandchildren, Jayden Rios, Annalise Rios, Jaxon Rios, Rylee Rios, Harper Grace Rios, Oliver Giovanazzi, and Oakley Kizer.

Mr. Smith was a security guard at Allied Universal Security Company for 15 years, in addition, he worked at Gallatin Auto Parts and NAPA Auto Parts.
