Ernestine D. Marsh was born on January 20, 1931 in Chuckey, TN, and passed away on February 5, 2022 at NHC in Hendersonville, TN.
She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Clyde Steele Derting. Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Doyle B. Marsh.
Mrs. Marsh is survived by her children Kenneth Marsh (Ella), Mary Charles Stewart (John Stidham), and John Marsh (Lisa); grandchildren Allison Stewart Chmely (Stephen) of State College, PA., Lauren Stewart (Allison Ford) of Santa Rosa, CA., Blake Marsh (Jen) of Lawrence, KS., Anna Marsh (Boone Simmons) of Hendersonville, TN., Brannon Morton of the US Virgin Islands, Charlie Cecil (Crystal) of Hendersonville, TN.; great-grandchildren, Maddox, Eloise, Wilson, Jackie, Calvin, Josephine, Jaden, and Emery; sister Shirley Grubbs of Oxford, MD.
Mrs. Marsh taught second grade at Hendersonville Elementary School.
A graveside service will be held at 12pm on the afternoon of Friday, February 11, 2022 at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service for close family and friends.
