Dorothy “Jean” Eugenia Burke, age 102, of Portland, passed away at her residence on March 2nd, 2024.
She was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts on May 21st, 1921 to the late Osmer Ford & the late Ethel Theresa White.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her husband, William Burke.
Mrs. Burke is survived by her three daughters, Donna Burke Edmondson of Portland, Sharon Burke Lee of Portland, & Leslie Burke Smith of Portland; grandchildren, John T. Edmonson Jr. of Calhoun, GA, Dean B. Edmondson of Nashville, TN, Darrin E. Lee of Pompano, FL, Sean W. Lee of Memphis, TN, Tracy N. Lee of Minnesota, William (Stephanie) W. Lee of Townsville, S.C., Christian M. Smith of Clarksville, TN, Brittney (Richie) Halversen of Ringold, GA, & Patrick W. Smith of South Korea; 14 great-grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; & beloved nieces and nephews.
The family has chosen cremation. There will be a memorial service announced at a later date.
