Derek Lynn Ewing of Castalian Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022, he was 34 years old.
He was born on October 28, 1987, in Dallas, Texas to Timothy Ray Ewing and Christine Elaine Ewing.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife Katie Ewing and their son Jaxon Ewing. His daughters Emma and Hailey Ewing and their mother Ashley. Brother Timothy Ray Ewing II and sister Amethyst Hicks. Sister-in-law Amber Ewing and stepmother Tracey Ewing.
He is preceded in death by his mother Christine Elaine Ewing, grandfather Robert Ewing, and grandmother Pauline Ewing.
Derek never met a stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was funny and enjoyed making other people laugh and smile. He loved playing disc golf and traveling with his wife to different disc golf courses. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys.
He was a loving father and husband, who will be missed dearly. He attended Gallatin High School class of 2007. Derek was an amazing person who loved everyone.
A gathering for family and friends will take place at First Baptist Church in Gallatin, 205 E Main Street on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
