Butch Duke, age 80, of Gallatin passed away on August 17, 2024.

He was born on July 29, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Willie and Lois Duke.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dedication. He was a remarkable individual, remembered for his loving and giving spirit.

Butch dedicated 42 years to the real estate business, becoming a trusted name in the field as the owner of his own agency, Century 21 Duke Realtors. Beyond his career, he enjoyed fishing, watching the Tennessee Volunteers, working in his yard, and had a particular fondness for his cars, notably his Trans Am.

Butch cherished the time spent with his family, often highlighting his proudest accomplishments as the moments shared with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed family trips and possessed a unique ability to make gatherings enjoyable and memorable. Above all, Butch loved the Lord.

In addition to his parents, Butch is preceded in death by his brother, Ray Duke; and his sister, Ann Fentress,

Butch is survived by his devoted wife, Becky Duke; daughters, Shelli Minor (Chuck), Sonnie Smith (Conor), Rachel Walker (Tate), and Anna Phillips (Dennis); and eight grandchildren, Lindsey, Brandon, Ali, Lauren (Matthew), Chance, Emma, Sadie, and Sawyer. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, his dog, Ruby.

A visitation will be held on August 21, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 pm Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center (353 E. Main St., Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075). https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
