Buddy Withers, age 60 of Portland, passed away, Monday, January 24, 2022.
Funeral Service will be Friday, January 28th at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral. Visitation will be Thursday, January 27th from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, January 28th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Old Brush Cemetery. Earl Franklin Withers Jr, always known as Buddy, age 60 of Portland went to meet his Lord and Savior on January 24, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 1, 1961 to Earl Withers Sr and Wanda Brown. He was saved in 1969 and joined Temple Missionary Baptist Church where in 2013 was ordained a deacon and remained a member until his death.
On January 19th, 1979 he married the love of his life, Pamela Suddarth. To this union were born 2 daughters, Misty (Jason) Riley and Jill (Josh) Wallace, who blessed him with four grandchildren, Ethan Riley, Eli Riley, Madison Wallace, and Memphis Wallace all of Portland.
In addition to his wife, children, grandchildren, and mother, he is survived by a brother Darrell (Donna) Withers, sisters Sherry (Jim) Mayhew and Rhonda Withers, his in-laws Cliff and Joyce Suddarth, and brothers-in-law, Tim (Kim) Suddarth, Tony Suddarth and Jeff (Carla) Suddarth all of Portland.
He was employed by Advanced Plastics for the last 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing and winning many bass tournaments over the years. He loved God, Jesus, church, and family and is waiting for us on the banks of Jordan.
Funeral service will be conducted by Elder Darrell Withers and Brother Travis Graves Friday, January 28th at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, January 27th from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, January 28th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Old Brush Cemetary. Pallbearers are Ethan Riley, Eli Riley, Robby Riley, Jarrod Riley, Mark Trammel, and Ronny Brooks. Honorary pallbearer Memphis Wallace. The obituary was lovingly written by the family.
