Betty Lee Stringer, age 88, of Portland, passed away on September 29th, 2021 at Portland Tri Star ER in Portland, Tennessee. She was born to the late Harry Civils and Lillie Rippy on February 13th, 1933.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stringer is preceded in death by her husband and 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Mrs. Stringer is survived by her daughters, Melody (Phillip) Graves of Bethpage, Suretta (Buck) Key of Portland, Joani (Billy) Brown of Portland; son, James Steven (Lisa) Stringer of Gallatin, TN; 16 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Beverly Kirkham of Portland, and Debbie Martin of Portland.
Funeral service for Mrs. Stringer will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Hayes officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. Stringer will be on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm & on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mike Stringer, Richie Glover, Adam Peak, Derrick Dorris, Drew Brown, Dillon Brown, and Timmy Brown will serve as pallbearers.
Marty Brown, Brandon Bryant, Jacob Jones, and Bettina Key will serve as Honorary pallbearers.
