Tickets for the 30th Annual Candlelight Cemetery Tour hosted by the Sumner County Museum are now available!
The popular event will take place Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Gallatin City Cemetery (250 Cemetery Avenue), where visitors will follow a candlelit path through the historic cemetery while learning the stories of some of Sumner County’s most notable residents.
This year’s tour carries a special America 250 theme, with all of the portrayed characters being descendants of Revolutionary War heroes from Sumner County.
The Gallatin City Cemetery dates back to 1814 and is the final resting place of many influential figures from the county’s history.
Tours will begin at 5 p.m., with groups departing every seven minutes throughout the evening. Tickets cost $15 and must be purchased for a specific tour time.
