Sumner County Director of Schools Dr. Scott Langford is pleased to announce the following SCS leadership positions:
Dr. Sabrina McClard has been named the district’s Supervisor of Coaching and Leadership. For the past nine years, Dr. McClard served as the principal of J.W. Wiseman Elementary School. She previously served as a district elementary coordinator and a classroom teacher.
“I have loved my time at J.W. Wiseman with the students, teachers and staff,” Dr. McClard said. “It has been an honor to serve the Wiseman community, and I am grateful for the lifelong friendships that I built there. I look forward for the opportunity to work with our teachers and principals to help cultivate the future leaders of our school district.”
Lauren Mayberry has been named the principal at J.W. Wiseman Elementary School. Mrs. Mayberry most recently served as the assistant principal of Guild Elementary School for the past 3 years. Mrs. Mayberry previously served as a lead educator and a classroom teacher.
“It is a privilege to be named principal of J.W. Wiseman,” Mrs. Mayberry said. “Wiseman is a close-knit community with a tradition of academic excellence, and I look forward to working with the students, parents and community to continue to build on that tradition.”
Dr. Langford added, “Over the last 9 years, Dr. McClard led a team that improved instruction and built a top-notch coaching program that has served the district well. Mrs. Mayberry is an exceptional instructional leader and will continue that excellence moving forward.”
