Statement from Sumner County Schools:
“We met with Ken Weidner and the National Weather Service this morning. We are anticipating a round of storms between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Another wave will pass through between 2:00 and 4:00.
We will always make the decision that is safest for students and staff. The safest path is for students and staff to stay at school, where we will take every precaution. We are carefully monitoring the forecast and will delay dismissals where necessary.
We will provide another update after the first round of storms.”
Williamson County Schools
Dismissing four hours early.
If your school normally dismisses at 3:50, it will dismiss at 11:50. Early Childhood will release at 10 a.m., and the afternoon program is cancelled. The School Age Child Care program will remain open. All extra-curricular activities are cancelled.
