The Portland Chamber of Commerce will host two additional free Music on Main concerts this summer, on July 17 and August 28. This annual event brings the community to the downtown area offering great entertainment and food trucks.

On July 17, the headliners will be The Home Wreckers. They are a classic rock and roll band out of Springfield. Also on hand will be Brucey’s BBQ and The Pink Truck food trucks.

Started by former firefighter Bruce Chase, Brucey’s BBQ offers classic Southern fare, including barbecue and fried chicken sandwiches, plates, and sides, along with some unique items like their Mac and Cheese with pulled pork or brisket. They also serve breakfast items like Huevos Rancheros.

The Pink Truck provides an assortment of hand-scooped ice cream, skillet cookies, brownie sundaes, milkshakes, and many other delicious treats. They feature Hudsonville ice cream in everything from classic flavors to unique combinations like candy playdough and cinnamon churro.

Bitty Ladd, also known as Bitty James Ladd, is a local country singer who puts a lot of heart and soul into his sound. He will be playing on August 28. There will also be food trucks on hand at this concert. Check the Portland Chamber of Commerce website for food truck updates.

All concerts will take place on Main Street in Portland, Tennessee beginning at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m. Guests can bring their own chairs or rent one onsite for five dollars each.

Sponsor booths will be offering goodies like popcorn, sno cones, lemonade, cookies and more while the supplies last. And a number of local businesses will be open late.

“A huge Thank You to our sponsors who make this event possible” said the Chamber of Commerce on their Facebook page. Presenting Sponsors include the City of Portland, Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation, Cumberland Connect, Old Hickory Credit Union, The Farmers Bank, Shoals Technologies Group, North American Stamping Group, and Create Energy.
