Age 70 of White House, TN passed away Saturday, January 25th at home. He was born January 10, 1955 in Owensboro, KY.
He was a Christian, hard worker, enjoyed fishing, hunting and working with his hands. He retired after 37 years from Parkes Companies. His greatest joy was his family, a devoted husband, a loving father, brother, Granddad and friend.
He is preceded in death by his son William O. Payne III. He is survived by his loving wife Marie Payne, daughter Veronica Nicole (Jeremy) Gourley, sister Victoria Grant and Grandchildren Austin (Haven) Payne, Jackson Payne, Autumn (Christopher) May, Timothy Dalton Payne.
Bill loved life! He never met a stranger and had a heart full of gold. He was a treasured friend to so many. If you were in his life, you were the lucky one. Patient, kind and joyful. He had the best stories, he listened, provided guidance and was always willing to help everyone. He loved music and singing. He will be forever missed.
Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, January 31, 2025 at 12pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Chaplain Jenna Martin officiating. Visitation is planned for Thursday, January 30, 2025 4-8PM and Friday, January 31, 2025 10AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
