Mr. Robert Fitzgerald Nelson age 61, of Nashville passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Southern Hills Medical Center.
Robert was born on September 5, 1963 in San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Nelson; brother, Devin Nelson; brother-in-law, Mike Sisk.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Marcie Hunter; children, Davin Nelson, Sophia Nelson and Jeffery Hunter; grandchildren, Chaston Leach, Jr. and Kameron Allen Hunter-Strong; mother, Hazel Anderson; brothers, Gregory Butler and Obayana Butler; sister, Alice Butler; sisters-in-law, Tosha Flynn and Rebecca Sisk.
Robert loved sports especially all of the sports legends. Robert’s favorite super hero was Superman and just like Superman, he always found a way to make everything happen.
In his children’s eyes, he was the greatest super hero of them all; never letting anything stop him no matter how big or small. He was the strongest of them all. He was always big on love and family, especially with his children and grandchildren.
Robert’s legacy will live on forever through his children and grandchildren.
There will be a visitation with the family on Monday, January 27th from 1:00-3:00 PM at Sellars Funeral Home at Hendersonville.
