William M. “Buster” Hand, age 76 of Hendersonville, passed away on December 30, 2021.
Buster was born on July 23, 1945 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late William Walter Hand and the late Ruby Martin Binkley Hand.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Darlene Hand; children, Penny Hand and Mark Hand (Nicki); grandchildren, Trevor Hand, Sadie Hand, and Zachary Collins; sister, Bettye Hale (Doug); and brother, Tommy Hand (Carol).
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville with Father Thomas Kalam, celebrant. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside (formerly Austin & Bell Hendersonville) and on Wednesday from 10:30 until time of Funeral Mass. A rosary service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
A man of small stature, he was a giant in so many other ways. He was kind, compassionate, funny, a true family man, and loved by all.
