Walter Benjamin Atkinson, 79 of Bethpage, Tn. passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Gallatin Healthcare and Rehab. Mr. Atkinson was born February 9, 1946 to the late Walter Cleveland Atkinson, Jr. and Annie Lou Lynn Atkinson.
Along with his parents, Mr. Atkinson was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Atkinson; and brother, Calvin Atkinson.
Mr. Atkinson is survived by his daughter, Jera Huff (Kevin); sons, B.J. Atkinson (Mischele), Will Atkinson (Sarah), and Matt Young (Tiffany); step-children, Lisa Pearson (Kevin), Connie Harrison (Mark) and Joey Hardin (Nikki); 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; brother, Roger Atkinson (Elise).
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 3 p.m. at Reatlawn Memory Gardens with friends and family officiating the service; with visitation on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Wilkinson Wiseman Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cameron Huff, Nathan Huff, Cody Reed, Kent Hargis, Corey Hobdy and Trey Hardin with Lucas Atkinson serving as honorary pallbearer.
