Ruth Margaret Cuffman Pearson, 89, of Portland, passed from this life on Monday, November 11, 2024, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

Ms. Ruth was born May 24, 1935, in Greenbrier, to the late Albert and Louise Collier Cuffman.

She was a homemaker and was a Christian. Ms. Ruth was one of the strongest people many have ever known, and she got through it all for many years because of her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and watch her family enjoy her meals and was one of the best southern cooks. If you ever asked how to make one of her dishes, she would tell you what to put in it, but she would never quite tell you exactly how much because she didn’t use measurements so there are some of her recipes that we, as a family, could never perfect and will be lost forever. She loved her family and was happiest when she was with them. She liked to watch Tennessee Vols and Ohio State football. Ms. Ruth never met a stranger and was loved by everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Danny Pearson, and by her siblings: Louis Cuffman, Betty West, Carolyn Belcher, James Cuffman, and Marie Belcher.

Ms. Ruth is survived by her sons: Harold Pearson and wife Ann Beth of Cross Plains, Randy Pearson and wife Lori of Franklin, KY, by her daughters: Kathy Jones of Springfield, and Melinda Webb and husband Bryan of Franklin, KY, by her grandchildren: Daniel Pearson, Nicole Pearson, Montana Jones, and Brandi Mowell, by her great-grandchildren: Nataleigh Jo Pearson, Faith Pearson, Braden Jones, Knox Jones, Ada Jean Jones, Lettie Ruth Jones, Tanner Mowell, and Bayleigh Mowell.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, November 15th at 12:00 p.m. in the Greenbrier Cemetery with Pastor Derek Capello officiating. Pallbearers will be Tanner Mowell, Montana Jones, Daniel Pearson, Bryan Webb, Braden Jones, and Barry Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Pearson, Randy Pearson, Knox Jones, and Tommy Cuffman. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service. https://www.robertsoncountyfuneralhome.com
