David Lynn Pippin, age 68 of Bethpage, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024.
Mr. Pippin was born April 22, 1956 in Nashville, TN to the late Dozier Martin Pippin and Dorothy Ann Qualls Pippin.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by beloved wife, Anita Kathleen Lowery Pippin; sister, Linda Bartel; and brother, Jerry Pippin.
He is survived by children, David Kane Pippin (Lisa) of Cottontown, Allison Bowers (Grant) of Bethpage, and Rachael Thompson (Justin) of Gallatin; brothers, Jimmy Pippin (Lynda) of Gallatin, Leon Pippin (Eva) of Portland, and Danny Pippin (Lisa) of Murfreesboro; sisters, Laverne Martin (Jerry) of Gallatin and Lavinia Pearson (Billy) of Gallatin; grandchildren, Lacey Reed (Chelsea), Drew Bowers, Ava Thompson, Rylee Bowers, and John Levi Thompson; great-grandchild, Waylon “Blue” Bowers.
Mr. Pippin served our country in the United States Army. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. In addition, he was a Miami Dolphins fan, and a long-time football and softball coach in the community.
Funeral Service will be Friday, November 15th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin. Visitation will be Thursday, November 14th from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Friday, November 15th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
