Ronald “Ronnie” Clay Davenport affectionately known as “Ronnie” was born on Tuesday, March 26th, 1946 in Macon County, Tennessee, to the late Paul and Rachel Netherton Davenport and passed away on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025, at the age of 78.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife of 61 years, Thelma Sue Davenport; brother, Billy Wayne Davenport; and sisters, Barbara Brown and Nancy Poole.
He is survived by daughter, Tammy (Mark) Shaw of Gallatin; grandson, Tanner Davenport; siblings, Roger (Jane) Davenport of Red Boiling Springs, Ralph (Selma) Davenport of Red Boiling Springs, Larry Davenport of Florida, and Jane Davis of Red Boiling Springs.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Charter Senior Living in Gallatin.
