Raymond Carsey Martin, Jr., age 80 of Gallatin, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Carsey was born January 17, 1943 in Bethpage, TN.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife, Nancy Jo Martin, parents, Raymond Carsey Martin, Sr. and Christine Spears Martin; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and Bill Roark.

He is survived by his children, Cindy Butler (Barry), Mitzi Fischer (Eddie) and Scott Martin (Amanda); grandchildren, Chase Butler, Morgan Green (Josh), Hunter Goad (Jordyn) and Laik Martin & Ashlee Fischer; great-grandchildren, Emery Green, Brynn Green, Ella Goad and Collier Goad.

Carsey was a 1961 graduate of Gallatin High School and member of Gallatin Church of Christ. He worked as finance director for Wade Motor Company for many years then became general manager for Mazda @ Rivergate. For the past 35 years, he was owner of First Choice Auto Sales Wholesale.

Carsey was a past member of Gallatin Lions Club where he is best known for his humor as an End Man named “Cotton”. He loved boating on the lake and traveling, but his greatest love was his family.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 6th from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Brother Julius Hovan and Eddie Mayberry officiating. Entombment will follow in Sumner Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Chase Butler, Hunter Goad, Josh Green, Laik Martin, Patrick Roark and Cole Green serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday, March 5th from 1:00-7:00 p.m. and Monday, March 6th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
