Lonnie Goble Evans, age 83 of Hendersonville, passed away on February 10, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

Lonnie was born on January 9, 1941 to the late Goble Thomas Evans and the late Frances Marie Wallace Evans of Clarksville, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his brothers, H.T. Evans and Paul Michael Evans; sisters, Ernestine Evans Britt and Barbara Evans Binkley; and his grandson, Eli Evans.

Lonnie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Judy Davis Evans; sons, Scott Evans (Georgia), Keith Evans, Todd Evans (Catherine), and Matthew Evans; grandsons, Michael Evans, Brian Evans, Carson Evans, and Trey Crosslin; granddaughters, Christina Evans and Raelynn Evans; great-granddaughters, McKayleigh Owens and Gracie Childress; and great-grandson, Maverick Evans.

Lonnie was retired from the United States Army after 25 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, and traveling. He loved people and always had the biggest smile on his face. Lonnie was a good, Christian man and was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. from the Chapel at First Baptist Church Hendersonville with Dr. Bruce Chesser and Rev. Bruce Raley officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church.
