Linda Ruth Pelham, age 75 of Portland passed away Friday, May 4, 2024 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
She was born January 27, 1949 in Nashville, TN to Cecil and Esther Ray Davis.
She worked as a sales associate for Macy’s before her retirement. She enjoyed cooking for her family and playing with her grandchildren. She especially loved family trips to the beach.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John David Pelham, Sr.; brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Patti Davis; sister, Shirley Davis; son-in-law, Randy Briley.
She is survived by her son, John David (Beckie) Pelham, Jr., Gallatin, TN; daughters, Buffey Briley, Portland, TN and Dana (Chuck) Carter, Hendersonville, TN; brother, Wayne (Rita) Davis; sister, Iva Lou (Kenneth) Boyd, both of Goodlettsville, TN; 7 grandchildren, Bailey (Zack), Brady, Kalie (Dan), Tanner (Laura Beth), Macy, Logan and Finley; 2 great-grandchildren, Krew and River; nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held Sunday, May 5, 2024 12 pm until 2 pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House. Interment will follow in Halltown Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
