Kristy Michelle Newman, age 49, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, with her loving family by her side.
Kristy was born on April 11, 1974, to Jerry and Eunice (Avila) Owensby in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Kristy was a fun free-spirited person who loved scary movies, the beach, “True Crime” shows, arts and crafts and all rescue animals. She had a great sense of humor, was witty, and at times a little saucy. Her most important role was as wife and mother. She was always there for her family and was a fierce protector of her kids. Her love and support will be greatly missed.
Kristy is preceded in death by her parents Jerry and Eunice Owensby.
She is survived by her loving husband Jonathan Newman; her daughters Baylee and Kameron; brothers Jerry (Pam) Owensby and Timothy Owensby; her close friends Marquita Williams, Louann Thomas, Melissa Gordon, and Darcey Hutchinson. In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, along with her fur babies Earl, Daisy, Dop, Princess, Goose, and Maggie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 2 pm-6 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 2 pm with visitation from 11 am-2 pm. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
Pallbearers will be Jerry Owensby, Isaac Owensby, Kolby Kimbro, John Brown, Stacy Newman, and Chris Newman.
