Jody Dwayne Moss, age 63, of Westmoreland, Tennessee was called home on Friday, September 22, 2023. He passed peacefully with his wife Caroline by his side, just one day shy of their 29th wedding anniversary.
Jody was born on January 24, 1960 in Gallatin, Tenn.
He graduated from Henry County High School in McDonough, Georgia, where he met and married his wife, Caroline. The couple settled in Tennessee to raise their family of two daughters, Heather Smith (Jordan and Brayden) and Katie Moss.
Jody spent his young adult life training mules for the Reese Brothers Mule Company. He worked for 20 years at Misa Metal Processing in Portland, Tenn. and was a devoted employee who never missed a day of work.
He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, woodworking, was a mule trainer, and spent time as an outfitter in Wyoming and Montana.
He is preceded in death by his parents Glynn and Nancy Moss, and his two brothers, Jeff (wife Jennie, sons Josh and Justin) and Joel (wife Cathie, daughter Elizabeth) Moss.
He is survived by his wife and daughters, and his sisters Andrea Moss Frasier (David), and Kathy Moss (daughters Tamera, Carrie and late son, Russell).
Gathering of Friends will be at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin at 100 E. Albert Gallatin Ave. in Gallatin, Tenn., Wednesday, September 27th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, September 28th from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to help the family may be made to Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin.
