James Douglas Ashburn, age 95, of Portland, Tennessee passed away on November 20th, 2023 at his at his residence.
Mr. Ashburn was born in Nashville, TN on January 14th, 1928 to the late Frank Wesley Ashburn & the late Ola Bell Bruce Ashburn.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ashburn was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ashburn; son, Jimmy Ashburn.
Mr. Ashburn is survived by his two daughters, Tricia (Garry) Kibbey of Cottontown & Dell Shaffer of Portland; grandchildren, Dawn (Kevin) Broadway, Amber (Andy) Arnold, Zachary (Lori) White, Zeb Ashburn, Jake Ashburn, Kaleb Ashburn, Monte Shaffer, Troy Shaffer, Ashley (Pam) Shaffer, Jonathan Shaffer; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Downing & Barbara Shelley.
