Brenda Phillips Heinrich, age 76, of Hendersonville passed away on July 29th, 2023.
Brenda was born on October 31st, 1946 in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Louie and Lena Phillips.
In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her son, Will Heinrich.
Brenda grew up in Donelson, Tennessee and graduated from Donelson High School. She attended Tennessee Technological University, where she graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Secondary Education.
Brenda had a passion for helping others and worked for the Department of Human Services in Nashville, Tennessee. Additionally, Brenda worked for the Sumner County Board of Education where she helped start the adult education program in the county.
Brenda spent 17 years working with the students of the Nashville Auto Diesel College as a guidance counselor.
After retirement, Brenda continued to serve those in her community by tutoring Sudanese children with her church and delivering meals with Meals on Wheels. Brenda was also an active member of the Middle Cumberland Archaeological Society, where she held the title of Secretary.
Brenda was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville, where she participated in numerous ministries and found life long friendships.
Brenda is survived by her husband of fifty years, George Heinrich; son, Kurt Heinrich (Janet); beloved granddaughters Isabella and Ava Heinrich; sister, Debbie Cooper (Ed); brother[1]in-law Patrick Heinrich, (Sandy); sisters-in-law Sandy Heinrich and Clare Heinrich; nieces Amanda, Brooke, and Claire Cooper (for whom she will always be Nana), Emily Carlile, Bonnie Heinrich, Meg Heinrich, and Angie and Peyton Sageley; nephews, Dustin and Casey Heinrich.
Brenda is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank the staff of Aveanna Hospice, her nurse Tori, and the members of First Presbyterian Church of Hendersonville for their support and love.

Visitation will be held at Hendersonville Memory Gardens and Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 1st from 4 PM to 8 PM, and on Wednesday, August 2nd from 12 PM to 2 PM. Services to follow at 2 PM. https://www.hendersonvillefh.com
