Carlton Graylon Gregory, age 67, of Portland, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 30th, 2024. Mr. Gregory was born in Gallatin, TN on January 13th, 1957 to the late Charlie Franklin Gregory Sr. & the late Nancy Lavera Troutt-Gregory.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Gregory; brothers, Charlie Franklin Gregory Jr. & Terry Wayne Gregory; sister, Charlotte Marie Gregory Anderson.
Mr. Gregory is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Theo) Toney of Portland; son, Carlton Dewayne Gregory of Portland; grandchildren, Alandria Toney, Lucas Toney, Elan Toney, & Riley Gregory; brother, Faron (Tina) Troutt of Westmoreland, TN.
A gentle giant. The fixer of all things. The man with a heart made of gold. Graylon loved spending his time outdoors and loved to deer hunt. You could find him in a field on a tractor or in a tree stand hunting him a big ole buck. His grandkids were his world. They were his Baby Piglets. Graylon was loved by everyone he encountered in his life and would do anything for anyone. Graylon retired from Kirby Building Systems in 2021 after 39 years of service. Married to the love of his life, Debbie, for 38 years. Graylon was a man’s man and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral for Mr. Gregory will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Pardue officiating.
Interment will be in Old Brush Cemetery with Eric Huddleston, Erica Penn, Tim Penn, Bill Dillard, Kip Sweda, & Tommy Conyer serving as pallbearers. Faron Troutt & Theo Toney will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation for Mr. Gregory will be on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm & on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home.
