Bonell Strong, age 86 of Gallatin, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Mrs. Strong was born April 13, 1937 in Clay County to the late Mack Johnson and Olyne Brady Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Raymond Strong; sons, Ricky Thomas Strong and James Raymond Strong; brothers, Wade Adrian Johnson, J. L. Johnson, and Roger Dale Johnson; and sisters, Eva Nell Williams and Sherry Ann Chandler.
She is survived by sons, Tommy Strong (Karen) of Mt. Juliet and Eugene Strong of Portland; daughter, Brenda Strong of Gallatin; brothers, Harold C. Johnson (Diane) of Gallatin and James Johnson of Gallatin; sister, Bonnie Fuhr (Richard) of Portland; grandchildren, Tiffany Dawn Strong and Ross Lee Strong (Nickie); and great-grandchildren, Addison Strong and Clayton Strong.
Mrs. Strong was a member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning, crocheting. She took care of numerous children in her lifetime and loved them all.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 25th at Sellars Family Heritage at Gallatin. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 24th from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 25th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Moss Cemetery in Moss, TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, 4636 Lebanon Pike, Hermitage, TN 37076.
