Alfred S. Adcock, 87, of Goodlettsville, passed peacefully at home with his brother by his side after fighting a long battle with cancer. He was born on November 18, 1937 on a farm outside of Goodlettsville to Sylvanus and Viva (Binkley) Adcock.
Survivors include his brother, Joseph W. Adcock, a niece, Vicki Cawthorne, and great nephew, Ryan Cawthorne. Alfred is preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Margaret (Booker) Adcock; his parents; sisters, Anne Nicholson, Mazie Simmons; and a great nephew Ronald Nicholson.
Alfred joined the U.S Air Force when he was 18 years old and engaged in several tours to Vietnam as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was the Chief Mechanic on his beloved C-130.
Visitation will be at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville from 4-8pm on Thursday, July 17th and a celebration of life service will be held at 1pm on Friday, July 18th in the chapel of Cole and Garrett. Burial will take place at Springfield Memorial Gardens following the service.
