As a part of the Costco development, the City of Hendersonville has required the developers to add sidewalks to increase pedestrian connectivity along Forest Retreat Rd.
They will be adding a section of sidewalk that connects two existing segments and will create one continuous sidewalk from Hillwood Dr/Forest Retreat to the Glenbrook shopping areas.
As a part of this construction, a section of Forest Retreat Rd that runs from Hillwood Dr to Glenbrook Way will be closed from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday – Saturday, starting Monday, September 18.
The portion that will be closed is highlighted in red on the map below. Alternate access routes are shown in yellow. The work is expected to be completed in approximately two weeks.
